Sourcing Responsibly Is Sourcing Reliably

The factory that treats its workforce properly is usually the same factory that holds your quality and your delivery date.

The Principle

Compliance Is Not a Certificate. It Is a Way of Operating.

Responsible sourcing at CrestTex begins before an order is placed. We evaluate a supplier’s ethical standing, working conditions, environmental practice and technical capability as one assessment — not as separate boxes.

A factory can hold a valid audit certificate and still be a poor partner. We look at how the floor actually runs: hours worked, wages paid on time, safety systems in use, worker voice mechanisms functioning, and management willing to correct findings rather than hide them.

This matters commercially as well as ethically. Audit failures, unauthorised subcontracting and labour disputes are among the most common causes of shipment delay in this industry.

What We Require

Non-Negotiables in Our Supply Base

No Child or Forced Labour

Age verification and recruitment practice are checked directly, not accepted on declaration alone.

Legal Wages and Hours

Wages paid on time and at or above legal minimum, with overtime voluntary and properly compensated.

Structural, Fire and Electrical Safety

Building integrity, exits, alarms and electrical systems must meet recognised standards.

Worker Voice

A functioning grievance mechanism that workers know about and can use without fear.

Subcontracting Transparency

Any subcontracted process must be declared and approved in advance.

Environmental Management

Effluent, chemical handling and waste practice appropriate to the processes on site.

We do not place orders in a factory where we would not be willing to show the buyer the production floor unannounced.
