Fashion Knitwear, Stitch by Stitch

Cable, jacquard, intarsia, pointelle, stripe and textured-stitch designs, where the stitch is the design and the machine time is the cost.

Product Detail

The Stitch Decides the Price

On patterned knitwear the design and the cost are the same conversation. An intarsia with eight colours or a heavy cable can double the machine time per garment, and that is decided at the design stage whether or not anyone costed it.

We cost the stitch before the design is signed off, suggest where a jacquard can carry the look at a fraction of the intarsia time, and check that the pattern repeats cleanly across the full size set rather than only on the sample size.

  • Cable, jacquard, intarsia, pointelle, links-links and tuck stitches
  • Stripe, colour-block and engineered placement designs
  • Machine time costed at design stage, not after approval
  • Pattern repeat checked across the whole size set

Quality Control

What We Control

Early Yarn Booking

Yarn dyeing and delivery is the longest lead item. It is booked ahead of the order, not after.

Stitch-Count Sizing

Measurements controlled by stitch and row count per size, giving consistency a cut pattern cannot.

Anti-Pilling & Handfeel

Pilling performance and softness tested on bulk yarn, because handfeel is what sells this category.

Panel Shade Matching

Body, sleeve and trim panels matched from the same dye lot to avoid visible shade variation on one garment.
